At FutureDay (futureday.ai), we are committed to protecting your privacy as a customer and an online visitor to our website. FutureDay is a service operated by G D Kratz Pty Ltd. We use the information we collect about you to maximise the services that we provide to you. We respect the privacy and confidentiality of the information provided by you and adhere to the Australian Privacy Principles. Please read our privacy policy below carefully.
In the course of your visits to our website or use of our products and services, we may obtain the following information about you: name, company name, email address, telephone number, credit card details, billing address, geographic location, IP address, survey responses, support queries, blog comments and social media handles (together "Personal Data").
Our services are not directed to persons under 18 and we do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with Personal Data, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you are the parent or guardian of a child and you believe they have provided us with Personal Data without your consent, then please contact us.
You can review, correct and update your Personal Data at any time by signing in and making the changes yourself, and you can download a complete copy of it from Settings. To delete your account and everything in it, email us at grant@futureday.ai — we will reply within one working day and complete the deletion within 30 days.
FutureDay is a career operating system that helps you run your whole job search, from getting ready to getting hired. Its features include a Resume Builder, a LinkedIn Optimiser, a pipeline of target companies, contacts and opportunities (your career CRM), content planning and post writing, job matching, tailored applications, interview preparation, and an AI coach. To provide these features we process the career information you give us.
This career information may include your work history, education, skills and achievements, your resume, the details of your LinkedIn profile, the companies, contacts and opportunities you add to your pipeline, the content you draft, and your interview preparation. We use this information solely to generate your analysis, recommendations, drafts and coaching, to track your progress over time, and to deliver the FutureDay service to you. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it to third parties.
Where you use FutureDay to optimise your LinkedIn profile, we process the LinkedIn profile information you provide to us. We do not collect, store, or have access to your LinkedIn password or login credentials, and we do not access your private LinkedIn messages or connection lists. Your use of LinkedIn is governed by LinkedIn's own User Agreement and Privacy Policy. FutureDay operates independently of LinkedIn and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn Corporation. We encourage you to review LinkedIn's privacy policy at linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
We retain your career data only for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services. You can request deletion of this data at any time by contacting us at grant@futureday.ai and we will action your request within 30 days.
A FutureDay account is for your own career, and our Terms say so. So that we can tell ordinary use from an account being run as a bureau for many people, we keep a count of how many different people an account has brought resumes in for. We do this without keeping the names: when a resume is read, the name on it is converted in your browser into a one-way code, and only that code reaches us. It cannot be turned back into a name, we hold nothing else against it, and it is never used to identify anyone. It is deleted with your account.
Personally Identifiable Information: We use the information we collect to deliver our services to you, including: communicating with you, providing technical support, notifying you of updates and offers, sharing useful content, measuring customer satisfaction, diagnosing problems and providing you with a personalised website experience.
Marketing communications are only sent to you if you have requested or subscribed to them. You can opt out of our marketing communications at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us and your request will be actioned immediately.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information: We also use the information we collect in aggregated and anonymised forms to improve our services, including: administering our website, producing reports and analytics, advertising our products and services, identifying user demands and assisting in meeting customer needs generally.
Any information you choose to make publicly available, such as blog comments and testimonials on our website, will be available for others to see. If you subsequently remove this information, copies may remain viewable in cached and archived pages on other websites or if others have copied or saved the information.
FutureDay uses artificial intelligence and automated processing as a core part of our service. In the interests of transparency, this section explains how automated processing works within our product and what it means for you.
Our AI coach analyses the career data you provide and automatically generates analysis and scores for parts of your profile and search, identifies gaps and missed opportunities, produces written recommendations for how to improve, creates rewritten drafts of content such as your resume, your LinkedIn headline and about section, your experience entries and your posts, and generates guidance and benchmarks to help you position yourself.
These outputs are generated by AI and are intended as guidance only. They represent the AI's analysis of the data you provide against established best practices and benchmarks. They are not human assessments and should not be treated as definitive professional advice.
Under GDPR Article 22, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you. The outputs generated by FutureDay are improvement suggestions and do not produce legal effects or similarly significant consequences. If you have concerns about any output generated by our AI, you may contact us to request a human review of your results and we will respond within 14 days.
Our AI capabilities are powered in part by third party AI providers (such as Anthropic). These providers process your data solely to generate your outputs and do not retain your data for their own training purposes beyond what is described in their own privacy policies. We take reasonable steps to ensure our AI providers comply with applicable privacy standards and maintain appropriate data processing agreements with each provider.
We will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your Personal Data while in our possession or control. All information we receive from you is stored and protected on our secure servers from unauthorised use or access. Credit card information is encrypted before transmission and is not stored by us on our servers.
All payment processing on FutureDay is handled by Stripe, Inc., a third party payment processor. When you make a payment, your credit card details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant and handles all payment card data in accordance with applicable security standards. Stripe may collect and process your payment information, billing address, and transaction history in accordance with their own privacy policy, which is available at stripe.com/privacy. By making a payment through FutureDay you agree to Stripe's privacy policy and terms of service. We receive confirmation of successful payment from Stripe but do not receive or store your full card details. We retain transaction records including the amount, date, and your email address for 7 years to comply with our legal and tax obligations.
To enable us to deliver our services, we may transfer information that we collect about you, including Personal Data, across borders for storage and processing in countries other than Australia. If your Personal Data is transferred and processed outside Australia, it will only be transferred to countries that have adequate privacy protections.
We retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. Account data including your name and email address is retained for the life of your account plus 12 months following closure. Profile and career data is retained for as long as is necessary to provide you with our services, with the retention period varying depending on the nature of your account and the services you have subscribed to. Payment records are retained for 7 years from the date of transaction to comply with our legal and tax obligations. Support correspondence is retained for 3 years from your last contact with us. Marketing preferences and consent records are retained until consent is withdrawn plus 3 years. Usage and analytics data is anonymised and retained for 3 years for product improvement purposes. Security and access logs are retained for 12 months for security monitoring and incident response.
At the end of each retention period your Personal Data is either securely deleted or anonymised so it can no longer be associated with you. You may request early deletion of your data at any time by contacting us and we will action your request within 30 days, except where we are required to retain the data to comply with a legal obligation.
In the event there is a breach of our security and your Personal Data is compromised, we will promptly notify you in compliance with the applicable law.
We use cookies and similar technologies to run our website, analyse traffic and improve your experience. For full details of the cookies we use and how to control them, please see our separate Cookie Policy.
We do not and will not sell or deal in Personal Data or any customer information.
Your Personal Data details are only disclosed to third party suppliers when it is required by law, for goods or services which you have purchased, for payment processing or to protect our copyright, trademarks and other legal rights. To the extent that we do share your Personal Data with a service provider, we would only do so if that party has agreed to comply with our privacy standards as described in this privacy policy and in accordance with applicable law. Our contracts with third parties prohibit them from using any of your Personal Data for any purpose other than that for which it was shared.
We may from time to time need to disclose certain information, which may include your Personal Data, to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, warrant, in the course of a legal proceeding or in response to a law enforcement agency request. Also, we may use your Personal Data to protect the rights, property or safety of FutureDay, our customers or third parties.
If there is a change of control in one of our businesses (whether by merger, sale, transfer of assets or otherwise) customer information, which may include your Personal Data, could be transferred to a purchaser under a confidentiality agreement. We would only disclose your Personal Data in good faith and where required by any of the above circumstances.
